Starting The New Year In Nyack
I'll admit, I'm not much of a New Year's celebrator. I rarely make it to midnight on New Year's Eve and don't have the energy to go out among the crowds. My preference is a quiet evening at home, with friends. New Year's Day is spent either quietly reflecting on the past year and planning for the upcoming 12 months or visiting with friends or a combination of both. But here are a few thoughts from the heart to kickstart your 2019:
I wish you peace and love in all you do. Let others enjoy their own drama and stress.
Pursue your happiness. Don't wait for it to find you. Get up, get out, and get moving.
Celebrate your successes -- as they happen. Don't wait for a "special" day/time -- enjoy things in the here and now.
Be grateful for the people in your life -- the good (those who are always there for you), the bad (those from whom you have learned something, even if it is what you'd NEVER do to someone else), and the in-between.
Count your blessings every morning as you awaken. There really are more than you initially think.
Anyway, however you ring in the new year, I wish you a Very Happy 2019! And, don't forget to share your sparkle!!
