Travel Magazine just rated Nyack's Halloween Parade among the top 10 in the country! It is the 2nd largest parade of its kind, being dwarfed only by the Greenwich Village event. And this year marks the 30th anniversary for the parade. Over 15,000 spectators are expected to line the streets along the parade route (S. Broadway and Main Street) to enjoy the fun-filled, family-friendly event that features marching bands, fire trucks, floats, and many, many costumed participants. Streets will be blocked off and closed from approximately 2:30 pm to 8:00 pm, so plan accordingly!

The parade is scheduled on Saturday, October 28th from 5:30 to 7:30 pm (rain date is Sunday, October 29th.) Festivities begin in the Main Street parking lot at 3:00 pm. Starting around 5 pm, agents and personnel from Wright Bros. will be in front of our building at the corner of S. Broadway and Depew dispensing free cider (hot or cold) and cookies for all who want to be tempted!

Following the parade, Nyack Center's 10th annual "Monster Mash" party will kick off with music, dancing, dinner buffet, and lots of fun for everyone. The party goes from 6:30 to 9pm.

You can find more information about the parade (and the prizes offered to participants) on the Nyack Chamber of Commerce's website: http://nyackchamber.org
